1st Annual Open House

The EVFD extends a huge "Thank you" to everyone that came out to support us at our 1st Open House on Saturday, October 15th. Everyone enjoyed plenty of good food and fellowship, tours of the station and equipment, and the chance to see the Centra One helicopter up close. The kids especially had a blast in the Bouncy House and enjoyed the opportunity to participate in the wetdown of our new truck.

New Apparatus

The EVFD took delivery in July of a new 2016 Pierce Rescue Pumper. This new truck will replace Engine 2 and Rescue 17, both of which have served us well. Combining both functions into one vehicle will allow us to make more efficient use of existing manpower and reduce the need to respond multiple vehicles on many of our calls. Members have been hard at work transferring and installing equipment on the new truck, which ran its first call last weekend. We're confident that it will serve our needs and the needs of the community well for many years to come.
